Download Festival, the greatest rock and metal festival in history, returns for its 22nd edition, reborn and recharged in 2025 as DLXXII. This year’s festival will be held from June 13-15, 2025, at the spiritual home of rock in Donnington Park, Leicestershire.
The VIP Metal Gala launch event was attended by rock and metal stars, including Paddy Considine, Don Broco, and Mallory Knox with those three first-time headliners being announced.
This milestone highlights Download’s commitment to delivering a fresh and groundbreaking lineup each year, offering fans more reasons to be part of this unforgettable experience.
Your first 2025 headliner is Green Day. Making their long-awaited debut at Download Festival, headlining for the first time in their 37-year career. Known for their high-energy performances, Green Day is coming off the 30th anniversary of their album Dookie and the 20th anniversary of American Idiot, solidifying their status as one of the most iconic and influential bands in the world.
